Danae

Red wine matured in small French oak barrels from Merlot.

Recommended with red meat, red sauces and savoury cheeses.

Serve at 18ºC.

Can be left in the bottle to mature for up to 6 years.

The Story of Danae

In fear of a prophesy that he would be killed by a grandson, the King of Argos locked his daughter Danae in a basement. Zeus, who wanted her, overcame all obstructions and managed to visit her, as a gold rain pouring from the sky.

Danae bore him a son, Perseus, who later became one of the greatest heroes and built Mycenae.
